The OOT Bags - Part I

Out Of Town also known as OOT Bags are bags that are usually distributed to the out of town guests that are filled with all types of goodies that can represent the couple getting married, be customized for the guest themselves or contain pamphlets and goodies about the town holding the event. They are considered to be a small token of appreciation to those coming from afar to celebrate with us. They are our welcome bags.

In our case, I (er...we) decided to represent the two of us but also have some goodies from Bethlehem.

The Contents:

  • 2 - Bottled Waters
  • 1 - Box of Mike & Ike Candies - made in Bethlehem (my hometown)*
  • 1 - Small Bag of Wilbur Buds - made in Lancaster County (my FI's hometown area)*
  • 1 - Box of a homemade goodie*
  • 1 - Star of Bethlehem Cookie Cutter
  • 1 - Direction Card to the Sands Casino from the hotel

Are you having OOT bags? If so, what are you putting in them? If you have done this, did your guests appreciate the bags?

  1. Mine are getting assembled next weekend! We are doing some local goodies (Moon Pies), old fashioned stuff (Cracker Jacks), water, gum, mini candy bars, Rice Krispie treats, NBlow Pops, pretzles, potato chips, a local map and a copy of the free local indie rag. It should be fun to put them together!

  2. I was going to do some OOT gift bags, but we only had a couple of OOT guests and they were all coming at different times staying at different places, one quiet a distance away! Since hubby and I didn't have a car and were relying on others, we just skipped it. Yours look great though!
