The book I am now reading is Dear John by Nicholas Sparks. For those of you not familiar with the author's name, he is the same author for the well known book, The Notebook. Almost all of his books that I have read had me shed a tear. They are beautiful books that capture not only my attention but also my emotions.
The reason I chose this book was because sometime this year the book will come out as a movie and I prefer reading the books before seeing the movies. I actually like comparing the two medias to see how far off they really are from each other. I know it is an interesting way at looking at it and can be distracting for others if they tried it this way but I love it. It also helped that the hubs bought this book for me as one of my birthday gifts. :)
So as soon as I am finished, I will provide my review.
I love this book!! I actually just saw a preview for the movie. I'm like you, I like comparing the two, but I prefer to do it the other way around. If I read a book first, I usually end up pointing out all the things that are missing in the movie and I'm disappointed.
