Question for the UGG Lovas

More than ever I have been interested in getting my first pair of UGG boots. My hubby HATES these boots but I really want them for the winter and since he promised to get them for me when I was preggie, I will get them soon (maybe birthday, maybe Christmas). Since I have been preggie I have very litte interest in heels right now. I am looking for comfort and warmth. I know my feet will swell as the baby grows so I need to know my little piggies are warm.

So this brings me to my question for my fellow UGG lovas or owners... Are UGG boots true to size?

Thanks in advance!

  1. I love my UGGS and really want there slippers.

I wear a 9/9.5 and my UGGS are an 8 so they do not run true to size.

  2. Oh goodness Heather! I was going to say they do. I have a pair of UGG boots and 2 pairs of their driving loafers - all 3 are size 10, which is the size I wear in everything else. Perhaps it depends on the shoe...Roddy, can you go and try them on anywhere to be sure?

  3. Just remember that socks are optional with uggs!

  4. That's what I am trying to do. They used to sell them at Journey's but now they only sell Emu. I have some "sole" searching to do to find these UGGs :)

  5. What I was told when I purchsaed mine was to go a size down because the fluffy stuff on the inside will shrink with use and then they actually become your real shoe size

  6. I would say they run pretty true to size. I wear an 8 1/2 and that is the same size I always purchase my Uggs in (I have a slight addiction and own too many pairs I think). Yes, the fluffy inside will eventually compress down but I still feel like they fit just fine. If anything I would say make sure they fit a tad bit (and by tad I mean a TAD) snug when you first purchase them and even when the fluffiness goes down they will still fit fine! :-) Good luck and enjoy! You will love them!!!!!

  7. Ooooh LOVE my Uggs! You are NOT supposed to wear socks in them...FYI! The point of the shearling in the inside is so that you don't wear socks. The shearling insulates your foot and keeps it at a comfortable temperature; your feet won't sweat, and they definitely won't be cold!

I am a true 7.5 shoe day-to-day...but my Uggs are a size 6. They run big, in my opinion! I originally bought them in a 7, and after putting them on for 5 minutes, I knew that I needed a smaller size. I recommend purchasing them from Nordstrom if you have one near you; you can always take them back if they don't fit!

    Enjoy them!

  8. I think they run big, and I love mine. I know many people think they're hideous, but they are so comfortable and such a help in the winter!

  9. I just came across your blog and since I am an UGG lover for life I had to comment even though its been awhile. I've worn them for sooo long and they do run a little big. They will stretch a little. Now this is if you haven't gotten them for your bday or Christmas which has all past by now. Wish you luck on your pregnancy and I love your recipe blog!
