The invites were sent out last Wednesday afternoon before our trip to NC. The post office was so screaming fast that my guests from PA to CA received their invites by that Saturday. I even started to receive some RSVPs that Friday (Yippee!!). So as of yesterday, we were 35 Yes and 2 No.

Honestly, this was what I was looking forward to. Not only to see who was going to share our special day with us but to see how big the BIG bill will be...
See I have a bit of a guest list problem. I originally was shooting for 200 adults (anyone over 6yrs. of age) because kids 6 & under are free but the guest list ballooned to a total 283 adults and children(YIKES!!). So now I am semi-freaking out about the final number and how much damage it will do to our empty pockets. I keep telling myself, I should have been stronger and not let my feelings get the best of me...but of course I failed. Such is life.
I am just hoping to get not more than 250 total guests to help ease the pain. So let's see how lucky we are.
Please pray, meditate, or cross your fingers that we get the guest list down! =)

Isn't it ironic how we invite x-number of people and hope x-number don't show! *lol* We didn't give into huge temptation, but included a few plus ones we hope don't get taken advantage of. Our invite number is 109 and we're hoping for between 80 to 85!
ReplyDeleteWow thats a big guest list...do I know that many people! My fiance's family would probably be that big alone! We're having 75 and were trying to hold on to that number...and I dont want there to be no's but Im sure there will be. Good luck on gettting your nos! You can have the nos that I dont want!
