Friday The 13th...

First off, I want to say THANK YOU to all for all your prayers, love and support. This pregnancy was a bit of a shock but we are VERY excited for what the future holds for our new and growing family. As I roll through this pregnancy I will be sure to update you all on the progress. So thanks again!! The mister and I truly appreciate you all!

OK, now let's get down to the Friday The 13th business.

I probably have never mentioned that I am a HUGE movie lover, especially horror movies. There aren't that many "great" horror movies out there but I have found many to be quite interesting or funny enough to laugh at. Even so, I still love them. I even love the books. I have nearly all of Stephen King's books. I find his imagination to be so vivid and I can read that in his books. I also love that he uses real life stories and morphs them into the stories he has created.

In honor of Friday The 13th, I wanted to share a few of my favorite horror flicks and books...

Books:
Rose Madder by Stephen King

Movies:

Are you a fan of the horror genre? If so, what are some of your fav books or movies? If you are not a fan, name a few movies that scared the crap out of you...

  2. I am so slow in hearing the pregnancy news. Congrats. Thats so awesome.

Me and my hubby are also big horror movie fans. Half our honeymoon was focused around ghosts and horror. One of my favorites is the Exorcism of Emily Rose. But on our honeymoon we realized how many old horror movies we have not seen and need to catch up on.

As for the Exorcist (not sure if its the same version. aren't there multiple versions?), I am one of the few people I know who actually thought it was really scary. In a museum we went to on our honeymoon, we were reading stories about the filming of the movie, and even those stories were creepy. Great movie.

  4. I can't do the horror movie thing...I live alone-sort of. I live with my 14 year old daughter but she stays at her dad's house 3 nights a week so on those nights...I am alone. Mr. Fix It and I have super busy schedules and don't stay the night at each other's homes very often..so watching horror flicks would bring on unnecessary stress that I could not handle right now. Besides, I was actually born on Friday October 13th in 1972 and my mom always told me growing up that that made it a good luck day for me :)

Congratulations on the new baby and many blessings for a smooth and healthy pregnancy.
